Less caffeine, Less Debate, No more Carrom and No more Resentment !

Exactly that's how my life has been from past 2 months since I left my full time job ! It's more peaceful and lot more focussed on what I want to do for myself and definitely the big picture for which I envisioned and left my job. Working full time in an IT company is a bit competitive in terms of work pressure, the desire to perform better, the desire to stand by the faith of people who trusted you with the opportunity. Believe me working in IT for 8 years did leave some traces of competitiveness in me as in I miss competing with a bunch of intelligent people and try everything to stand out as in a healthy competition. Aaah I miss that really! And I see there is nothing wrong with that, that's how our pay system or appraisal system is designed as well.

Less of caffeine trust me is a big favour you are doing for yourself. You don't need that much of caffeine. There was a time when I was having close to around 15 cups of coffee in a day in one of my  previous organisation. It just indicates how unhealthy you are becoming or how addicted to work you are ... I used to skip lunch and just thrive on couple of cups of coffee yes there was a time like that in my life. Not that I did it because of work pressure, I did it because I loved coffee more than food and didn't wanted to take my eyes of screen. It's way more relaxing now when I hardly sip a cup of coffee even. I eat proper lunch and yes lots of water and I manage to lost around 4 kgs in 2 month without a heavy workout schedule. Yayyy !

I used to think that playing games inculcate in you the sense of winning and I still believe it. But games at work place I always used to have for more of informal conversation and take out frustration either in mine or colleagues. It's important that we play games, it just teaches you team work without any extra effort. I always felt that it's the people who attract you to come to office tomorrow not the work. The joy of working with some of the best minds is so addictive and unparalleled. We need to care for each other and that's one of the way you can and influence the culture of a company. I surely miss some of them and try to be in touch with them on chat.

And yes no more resentment, resentment i would say is bit more negative word but yeah at times I did feel enough of this work, let's work for ourselves. I always believed that there is more I can contribute and more I am capable of apart from that 8 hours of billings. Having to work on your ideas and dreams is a life changing experience. The only thing you would repent is why didn't you do it earlier. Yes financials are something for which majority of us (IT folks) sell our soul to corporate and happily work on anything even though it doesn't add value
to your learning or life ! I am being blunt here. But all my life I believed in one thing that there is just one life and I for sure don't want to live a life of compromise !

It's been quite some time I wrote after leaving job... Hope you guys are having fun !!!
